Teen Heat showcases some of my favorite new artists of 2011. From instant-head-bobbing tracks by Caesar Leon and Viceroy to Friends' awesome cover of Ghosttown DJs' "My Boo," these ten songs cover all sorts of vibes in the Indie and Electronic stadium of sounds. Enjoy!

Andy's Girl's A Computer
In this mix I took some cues from Andy's old mixes and tried to craft something that hopefully highlights something old (in the music world, that's like what, a week?) in a different, maybe even better way. So I included an Arcade Fire cover by Mr. Little Jeans (actually a lady), some dubstep and chillstep remixes, the chillwave sounds of Slow Magic, original indie tracks from Bear Hands (the video for Crime Pays is amazing) and oldie-but-goodie Teddybears. And you can't go wrong with a RAC remix.
A few years ago we started trading mixtapes as a fun way to share new (or old) songs that we thought our brother-from-another-mother (or sister-from-another-mister) might enjoy. It began with a simple set of parameters — 10 tracks and a title — and quickly* became this little site where we can share with the world the mixtapes we've shared with each other.
* This site was completed in under 24 hours on a chilly, winter evening warmed by the glows of our computers.
Andy is a 26-year-old graphic designer and musician from California. He works as a designer and spends his free time practicing DJing. Andy's favorite genres span—Dubstep, Electro-House, Moombahton, Hardcore/Punk, Shoegaze, Indie and many more.
Jackie is an interaction designer living and working in the Bay Area, often at the side of a cat who think's he's a dog, her best friend, and her favorite things: design, music and food. She created Family Knux as a place where she can give you two out of three. Maybe one day you'll get all three. Hmm.
