Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE the '90s — the movies, the TV shows, the MUSIC, the fashion, etc. These ten songs were some of the first pieces of music I was ever exposed to as a youngster. If I could, I would time travel to 1991, no question. Time to grab my acid-washed jeans, lace up my LA Gears, and figure out if I really am "afraid of the dark." Enjoy!

Volume VII: '90s Edition
The Wonder Years
When we decided to do a '90s mix I set out to make it personal. I've spent a lot of time since the '90s remembering the '90 — hairspray, one-hits, scrunchies, my naïveté, Zack Morris — time remembered through faint memories of slumber parties, MTV and Sam Goody.
So the songs you're hearing below were originally heard in my dad's car on a family trip, my walkman on a hike with my mini backpack in Blue Hills, during an awkward middle school slow dance, and on the Grind or MTV Jams. I hope that when you hear them, you'll remember your wonder years.
A few years ago we started trading mixtapes as a fun way to share new (or old) songs that we thought our brother-from-another-mother (or sister-from-another-mister) might enjoy. It began with a simple set of parameters — 10 tracks and a title — and quickly* became this little site where we can share with the world the mixtapes we've shared with each other.
* This site was completed in under 24 hours on a chilly, winter evening warmed by the glows of our computers.
