“Devotion” kicks off with awesome grooves by Interface & Minus, followed by a chilled-out dance remix by TWRK. Minneapolis trio Now, Now have been touring the states playing their awesome Indie-Pop jams. Their drummer, Brad, recently released his first "legit" single under the name Sombear. If you’re a fan of The Postal Service and/or Tegan & Sara, you’ll love "Incredibly Still." We get real Tech-House-y with Cloak’s dance-floor-banger "Don’t I Know You?" Jamie Xx has been busy with The Xx but a Trap remix of "Far Nearer" has received lots of love online. F3edo brings in the Future Garage vibes with "More You." Toddla T. returns with his remix of "Boyfriend"—one of my favorites off this mix. Who hasn’t been all about someone who already had a "boyfriend/girlfriend?"

“First rule in roadside beet sales: put the most attractive beets on top, the ones that make you pull the car over and go ‘Wow, I need this beet right now.’ Those are the money beets.” — Dwight Schrute. First, some summery, funk-infused beats from Penthouse Penthouse. Next, some hip hop beats produced by Lakim for Pheo. (featuring some juicy Outkast and Spice Girls samples). Two mystery men - DJ HOODBOI and DJ Yolo Bear, though I'm sure we'll be hearing more, given these motorbooty beats. Lastly, everything that's my favorite right now comes out of HW&W Recordings, whose roster includes Ta-ku, Kaytranada, Sweater Beats, and Bahwee from my last mix. Those dudes know a thing or twelve about some money beats.
A few years ago we started trading mixtapes as a fun way to share new (or old) songs that we thought our brother-from-another-mother (or sister-from-another-mister) might enjoy. It began with a simple set of parameters — 10 tracks and a title — and quickly* became this little site where we can share with the world the mixtapes we've shared with each other.
* This site was completed in under 24 hours on a chilly, winter evening warmed by the glows of our computers.

Jackie is an interaction designer living and working in the Bay Area, often at the side of a cat who think's he's a dog, her best friend, and her favorite things: design, music and food. She created Family Knux as a place where she can give you two out of three. Maybe one day you'll get all three. Hmm.
